Recently, we were just in South Korea to test drive the all new Hyundai ionic nine their flagship three row EV. We travelled all over South Korea, including beautiful Busan, but another thing that we did is we visited the Hyundai motor studio, which is kind of like a museum of everything of course that has to do with Hyundai, including lots of different models like my own car here and some classic models check out this original Hyundai Sonata 5 speed even you also see some current models like the new ionic nine and how about this for a cute electric utility this Casper? I really wish we could actually get the Casper here in North America.

Another highlight though was getting a sneak peek at the brand new next generation Hyundai palisade. Now this will be revealed and announced in just a month time in North America but they're already out in South Korea. On our ionic nine video we compared sizing to the Palisade, but that was to the current generation this new palisade is much larger. In fact it's the same size as the new ionic nine except the wheelbase is shorter because it's not running on that EGMP electric platform. Look at that grill it is huge, but it just kinda looks bigger because it blends right into these lights that are so rounded and moulded and sculpted to the corners and based on the size and the style I think it actually pulls it off with this big grill. The new palisade really has a very strong presence and stance. In fact, I even see a little bit of Range Rover in it. No on the inside it's all being redone as well as you can see this is equipped with the new CCNC system with the large curved screen I'm sure it'll have all the same digital key wireless Apple CarPlay android aut all the goodies that we get in the latest Hyundai products for sure but it looks very spacious. you see the new gear selector, which is the same as the ionic nine which is on the column now lots of room for passengers so this will be either a 78 or as you can see here in this Korean market. You can actually get a nine passenger so the front row can carry three, remember the old days you probably wouldn't but I'm old enough to know but I'm old enough to remember some of the old cars with a bench seat in the front so you would have three in the front and three in the back, I'm not sure if this option will make its way over to North America though. Open the back look at how much more room there is now even behind the third row this is really going to be a very popular vehicle not just a North America but globally because we see them all over here in Korea. We don't have any specs yet as for size but I have read that in the green market. it's available not only in a 2.5 turbo but also a new 2.5 turbo hybrid, which will have higher output more horsepower than the outgoing V6 does that's it for a quick look at the new 2026 Hyundai palisade make sure to like and subscribe and hit that notifications so you'll know the next time we actually get up close with this vehicle and maybe even right behind the wheel driving it.
